What We Do

We build websites and provide hosting. Simple as that.

Website Projects: We design and build custom websites, WordPress sites, online shops, and web applications. Projects start from £500 for simple sites, £2,500 for business websites.

Hosting Plans:

• Wayfarer (£30/month) - Just hosting
• Shipwright (£75/month) - Hosting + maintenance
• Monarch (£100/month) - Premium hosting + advanced maintenance

How Projects Work

1. You tell us what you need

We'll give you a quote that's valid for 30 days. No hidden costs.

2. You pay a deposit

• Small projects (under £1,000): 50% upfront
• Larger projects: 50% upfront, 50% when finished
• Big projects (over £5,000): Split into three payments

3. We build your website

You provide content and feedback. We handle the technical stuff.

4. You get your website

Once it's finished and paid for, it's yours.

• Wayfarer – hosting only
• Shipwright – hosting + basic maintenance
• Monarch – premium hosting + full performance and security care

All packages include domain management, DNS, and SSL certificates.

Maintenance Services

We keep your site secure, fast, and up to date:

• WordPress updates (core + plugins)
• Security monitoring and hardening
• Performance optimisation
• Content edits and updates
• Technical support

Project Terms

Scope & Specifications

• Every project begins with a written scope covering deliverables, timelines, and responsibilities.
• Changes to the scope require written agreement and may affect cost and delivery.
• You are responsible for providing accurate requirements and licensed content.

Timelines & Delivery

• Timelines are estimates and rely on you providing feedback and content promptly.
• Delays from late feedback or content may extend the timeline.
• Final delivery requires full payment and your approval of the work.

Client Responsibilities

• Provide necessary content, images, and materials on time.
• Respond to feedback requests promptly.
• Ensure provided content is legally owned or licensed.
• Provide access to accounts or systems as required.

Payment Terms

Quotes & Pricing

• Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
• Prices are in GBP and exclude VAT where applicable.
• Work outside the agreed scope will be quoted separately and requires your approval.

Payment Schedule

• Projects under £1,000: 50% deposit, balance on completion.
• Projects £1,000–£5,000: 50% deposit, balance on completion.
• Projects over £5,000: 33% deposit, 33% at milestone, 34% on completion.
• Hosting and maintenance: billed monthly in advance.

Payment Method

• Bank transfer, card payments, or other approved platforms.
• Invoices due within 14 days.
• Late payments may incur 1.5% interest per month.
• Services may be suspended for overdue accounts (after notice).

Hosting Terms

Service Levels

• 99.9% uptime guarantee (excluding scheduled maintenance).
• Response within 24 hours (standard) or 4 hours (priority support).
• Daily automated backups retained for 30 days.
• Regular security updates applied during maintenance windows.

Acceptable Use

Hosting must be used responsibly. Prohibited activities include:

• Illegal content
• Spam or malware distribution
• Excessive resource usage affecting others
• Copyright infringement
• Adult content, gambling, or illegal substances (at our discretion)

Data & Backups

• We keep automated backups, but you should maintain your own copies too.
• Additional recovery requests may incur fees.
• We are not liable for data loss caused by client actions, third-party failures, or force majeure.
• You retain full ownership of your data and content.

Intellectual Property

Client Content

• You own all content, data, and materials you provide.
• You grant us a licence to use them only for delivering your project.

Our Work

• Once fully paid, custom code and designs we create for you are yours.
• We retain rights to our methods, techniques, and know-how.
• We may showcase completed work in our portfolio unless you request otherwise.

Third-Party Components

• Third-party themes, plugins, or libraries remain under their own licences.
• We select reputable components but are not responsible for long-term licensing or support.

Warranties

• Services will be delivered with reasonable skill and care.
• Websites will function as agreed at delivery.
• Hosting meets the uptime and support levels promised.
• Defects in workmanship will be corrected free for 30 days after delivery.

We cannot guarantee:

• Business results, sales, or SEO rankings.
• Performance of third-party services (plugins, APIs, payment processors).
• Full browser compatibility or future browser updates.

All other services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

Liability

• Our total liability is capped at the amount you paid for the service in question.
• We are not liable for:
  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits, revenue, or opportunities
  • Data loss beyond backup commitments
  • Third-party claims or failures
• We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our control (natural disasters, government actions, infrastructure failures).

Maintenance & Support

Included Support

• Wayfarer: Email support for hosting issues
• Shipwright: Priority email + basic maintenance
• Monarch: Priority support + full maintenance

Scope of Support

• Technical issues with our services
• Guidance on using provided systems
• Security monitoring and updates
• Performance optimisation

Not Included

• General training on web technologies
• Custom development requests
• Third-party service issues
• Content writing or creation

Termination

By Client

• Hosting: 30 days’ written notice
• Development projects: Pay for completed work
• Maintenance: 30 days’ written notice

By Us

We may terminate for:

• Non-payment
• Policy violations
• Breach of terms
• Illegal or harmful activities

After Termination

• Client data available for 30 days
• Unpaid fees remain due
• Confidentiality obligations remain in force

Confidentiality

Both parties agree to:

• Keep shared information secure
• Use it only for the project
• Not disclose to third parties
• Return or destroy on request

Exceptions: information already public, known before disclosure, independently developed, or required by law.

Dispute Resolution

• Governed by the laws of England and Wales.
• Disputes should be resolved in stages:
  1. Direct discussion
  2. Mediation
  3. Arbitration under UK Arbitration Act
  4. Court proceedings as last resort
• Jurisdiction: English courts only.

General Provisions

• These Terms are the entire agreement.
• Amendments must be in writing and signed by both parties.
• If one clause is unenforceable, the rest still apply.
• We may assign these Terms to a successor. Clients need our consent to assign.
• Clauses on payment, IP, confidentiality, and liability survive termination.

Charity Services

Free Charity Work

• One free website per quarter for a registered UK charity (our discretion)
• Standard terms apply except payment
• Ongoing hosting and maintenance covered separately

Discounted Pricing

• Registered UK charities receive 20% discount
• Proof of registration required
• Cannot be combined with other offers
